Vintage 75 Tone Ring
The Nitro II tone ring has now been replaced with my new Vintage 75 full flathead tone ring which I developed for the player that likes a strong 4th string ,volume and power to spare. This tone ring is made of an alloy that is very close to what I believe was used during the 1930’s on the Style -75’s. The profile is a copy of a Style-75 tone ring as well and features a long skirt and has 20 holes.
The Vintage 75 tone ring is manufactured by First Quality Music for Fitch Banjos to my exact specifications. Eric Sullivan does the machining of my rings on a new state of the art CNC lathe assuring consistence in quality, sound, and dimensions . He also hand pours each ring one at a time using my specific formula.
In my ongoing quest to improve my Fitch banjos, I think I have developed the perfect ring for those wanting the prewar tone and volume without spending a lot of money. Improving my banjos while keeping the price low without sacrificing the quality, tone, and playability is my goal. While my Vintage 75 tone rings are long skirt and better suited for new construction, they will interchange with a number of tone rings that are currently on the market. Feel free to email me with your questions about fit, application, and set-up . Thanks.
